Hang out with Lizz Meiring in the Little Karoo

Adventurers and art lovers can get ready to explore the breathtaking Little Karoo with Lizz Meiring, and that for a good cause.

Many historic sites in the Little Karoo, from sandstone churches to cathedrals and synagogues, depict the faith and culture of the region. In November, Lizz Meiring and her friend, the keen hiker Sandra Odendaal, will visit the area. Sandra will walk the Camino of the Sandstone Churches to collect funds for Solidariteit Helpende Hand, while Lizz will stimulate the laugh muscles with her show Van die rak af.

This unforgettable journey is offered by the Klein Karoo Camino and is a unique combination of culture, nature and entertainment.

The adventure begins on Sunday, 10 November, at the Baron's Palace Hotel in Oudtshoorn and promises a week of inspiration and discovery.

• Day 1: Sunday, 10 November. The journey begins with the charm of the Little Karoo and the Baron's Palace Hotel.
• Day 2: Monday, 11 November. Everyone leaves for Dysselsdorp's Kruiskerk. The hikers hike from there to De Rust while the rest of the group leaves for an olive tasting at De Rustica Olive Estate.
• Day 3: Tuesday, 12 November. The hikers walk from De Rust to De Rustica for an olive tour. The rest of the group visits Oudtshoorn's historic buildings and ends the day with stargazing and dinner.
• Day 4: Wednesday, 13 November. The group explores the Kango Caves and enjoys lunch at the NG Congregation Kangovalleie's Biblical Garden. The evening program includes Lizz Meiring's performance in the Oudtshoorn Civic Centre's auditorium.
• Day 5: Thursday, 14 November. The journey ends with a visit to the NG Moedergemeente and a farewell dinner at De Krans Wine Estate in Calitzdorp.

The public will have the opportunity to see Lizz in action at the following locations:

• Wednesday, 13 November, at the Oudtshoorn Civic Centre
• Thursday, 14 November, in Calitzdorp at De Krans Wine Estate
• Friday, 15 November, in Mossel Bay at Punt High School
• Saturday, 16 November, in George at the Eden Congregation
